Will the D23 Expo for Marvel be distinct from Comic-con?

Disney’s D23 Expo is a highly anticipated event at the Anaheim Convention Center in California. This event features Marvel panels, events, and celebrity guests. The motto of the celebration to unveil the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s upcoming slate includes movies and TV shows. 

Comic-Con is something different

Marvel president Kevin Feige revealed the movie and TV show line-up for the MU’s Phase Five and Phase six. It includes Captain America: New World Order, the first Captain America film featuring Sam Wilson in the titular role; Avengers: The Kang Dynasty sees the return of Jonathan Major’s Kang, who appeared in Loki season 1.

Comic-Con is a big deal because the studio’s presence was largely absent for a while due to the pandemic. In 2022, Marvel’s Hall H presence at SDCC was a welcome return, but the studio’s D23 Expo presentation could be different.

Expo Venue details

On the 10th, of September Saturday, Marvel studios are expected to join Lucasfilm at D23 to display the upcoming line-up of theatrical and television releases. The upcoming releases are The Marvels, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3, and the Disney+ series Secret Invasion. There are more details to be revealed about phases five and six. Marvel’s presence at the D23 Expo offers more information about anticipation than SDCC.

Bigger and better Marvel D23

D23 has risen in prominence over the years and positioned itself as the leader in providing information about the MCU’s plans. Marvel, owned by Disney, makes sense to keep all the most exciting reveals, including cast, trailers, and announcements, for presentation at D23. 

Comic-Con is considered the appetizer of the main course, but D23 is the hosting sneak peek into the upcoming Disney+ series. It includes many of Marvel’s offerings, like the Echo. The D23 kick of Disney’s 100th-anniversary celebration, suggested by Marvel’s announcements, is crucial.
