Will Meghan Markle attend Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral or not?

Princess Harry arrived in Scotland hours after the news of Queen Elizabeth II’s death. Meghan Markle avoided flying to Balmoral Castle after the monarch’s death. Prince Harry and Markle were in London during the Queen’s demise. Later, Prince has to travel to Germany for the Invictus games promotion.

The couples were not in Balmoral; instead, they had planned to travel to Scotland. Prince Harry and Markle updated the tribute for the Queen. But it’s without an official statement.

Meghan Markle hasn’t attended the royal gathering. But she will attend the Queen’s state funeral in Westminster Abbey on September 19. Still, it’s not confirmed yet.

Meghan Markle’s absence from Royal Gathering

As they are relocating to America, the couple announced their departure with royals in 2020. So, their relationship with the Royal family is still a mystery. It’s ridiculous that Markle didn’t attend the royal family gathering as she is very close to Queen.

Omid Scobie confirmed that Markle would not attend the WellChild Awards this week. Though she is in England. Markle’s three children were on their first day in Lambrook School, Windsor, says Kate.

Meghan is not welcomed in the family circle, BBC Royal correspondent Nicholas Witchell. Because of her absence in Scotland, they avoided her.

She also missed attending Princess Philip’s funeral last year. She was pregnant with her third child, Lilibet. Markel may attend this state funeral taking place in the UK.

Queen Elizabeth II and Meghan Markle’s Bond

The Queen’s corgi grew fond of Markle after an hour-long meet-and-greet after a year of dating. She continued to speak of the Queen to the press. Markle called her an incredible woman, saying:

“To be able to meet her through his lens, not with his honor and respect for her as the monarch. But the love that he has for her as his grandmother all those layers have been so important for me when I met her. I had such a deep understanding and of course incredible respect for being able to have that time with her.”

Furthermore, he attended the Platinum Jubilee celebrations in June. Later he visited Windsor Castle in April. Prince Harry and Markle named their daughter Lilibet after the Queen’s nickname.
