Who is a popular singer stray 2022 VMAs, and why

After harkening back to the Gilded Age for her most recent red-carpet appearance this year, “Happier Than Ever” singer Billie Eilish is making fans wait a little longer for her next event, choosing not to attend MTV VMAs. In this news article, let’s see why she opted for this decision.

An extraordinary singer from her debut album

Since her debut in 2016, Billie Eilish has proven herself a legend in the entertainment industry. She has released two consecutive No. 1 albums, became one of TIME‘s 100 Most Influential People of 2021, and co-chaired the 2021 Met Gala.

Of course, she’s earned coveted awards for her music, including seven Grammys, an Oscar, a Golden Globe, and three Video Music Awards. She’s up for five moon person awards at MTV’s 2022 Video Music Awards, including Song of the Year, Best Pop, Best Longform Video, Best Direction, and Best Video Effects.

Why didn’t she attend an award event recently?

However, Billie Eilish is not making her way to the 2022 VMAs due to her touring schedule. The 20-year-old singer recently wrapped her first-ever Asian tour, where she performed across the Philippines, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and Japan. According to an Instagram post, Billie Eilish was still working her way around Asia as of August 22. Her last show was at Tokyo‘s Ariake Arena on Friday, August 26.

The 2022 VMAs are taking place at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, on August 28, and since it takes about 13 hours to get to Jersey from Tokyo, it makes sense why Billie Eilish skipped out on this year’s ceremony. As per Billie Eilish’s official website, she’s set to tour Australia and New Zealand starting September 8, so she’ll probably be booking some time for relaxation between now and then.

What did she reveal about the profession in a recent discussion?

In a recent interview, Billie Eilish addressed feeling more grounded as an A-list star. In an interview published on August 26, she said, “I guess I would say it took me a while,” when asked how she stays grounded amidst stardom.“I feel like I wasn’t grounded for a couple of years, and I think part of that was good because it made me feel very confident and happy about my life.

But at the same time, looking back, I was a bit cocky and I’ve seriously, completely 180-ed that. She added I’m really lucky to get to do what I do. I don’t think of myself as better than anyone in the slightest. It’s a good feeling just to make art that you enjoy.”Here’s to hope Billie Eilish gets some well-deserved rest while hopefully adding more moon people to her already-impressive list of accolades.
