The cast of Teen Wolf: The Movie teases that Crystal Reed’s Allison Argent is returning, despite her gruesome death in season 3. Despite its popularity, one of MTV’s most popular shows will not return this season. Based on the comedy film franchise from the 1980s, Teen Wolf is a dark reimagining that delves deeper into the supernatural lore than the Michael J.
Fox films. Tyler Posey stars in Teen Wolf as Scott McCall, who becomes a werewolf after being bit by a werewolf. The MTV series Teen Wolf ran between 2011 and 2017 with a total of 100 episodes. After less than a decade, the supernatural hit is back, this time as an exclusive Paramount+ release.
In Teen Wolf: The Movie, several characters from the original series return, and one, in particular, has raised eyebrows. Reed’s Allison Argent was a central character in Teen Wolf’s early episodes, a masterful archer and Scott’s love until she died suddenly in season 3. Although Allison died untimely, she will appear in Teen Wolf: The Movie.
At San Diego Comic-Con this year, Teen Wolf creator Davis spoke with Collider about the film and Allison’s role. Davis clarified that Reed’s character has a pivotal role in Teen Wolf: The Movie, without revealing exactly how she returns. According to Davis:
In Teen Wolf: The Movie, we know that a “terrifying evil has emerged” and that “Banshees, Werecoyotes, Hellhounds, and Kitsunes” will be affected as Scott must be the hero once more. Allison’s return to Teen Wolf: The Movie is unclear, and no one associated with the movie is likely to reveal those details any time soon.
According to the latest trailer for Teen Wolf: The Movie, something or someone resurrected Allison, so she appears to be the real Allison. Anything is possible in the Teen Wolf universe, but that broadens Allison’s role in the story. One possible explanation is that it is a vicious shapeshifter, which has taken on the form of Allison and is a villain close to Scott, hence resembling his first love.
According to everything we know about Teen Wolf: The Movie, the main villain is supposed to be the deadliest opponent these characters have ever faced. It would be even more compelling if it was someone who looked like someone they had lost over the years, including Allison. We will find out the truth soon enough.
