In view of his exit from the franchise, Daniel Kaluuya responds to the Black Panther 2 trailer

TEAM MOVIE THOP

A few days after confirming his exit, Daniel Kaluuya has spoken out about the trailer for Black Panther 2.

In the first film, released in 2018, he played W'Kabi, the romantic partner of Okoye (Danai Gurira) and a close friend of King T'Challa (the late Chadwick Boseman).

Kaluuya, however, was informed in July that he would not return for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. There are conflicts between the Marvel film's production schedule and that of Jordan Peele's thriller, Nope, in which Peele plays a lead role. An interview on the red carpet recently asked Kaluuya if he'd seen the trailer and what he thought of the teaser.

I have seen it, of course! That was the first thing he told Variety's Marc Malkin, before adding, "It's amazing." Regarding his departure from the franchise, he said: "It's what's best for the story, what's best for the film…

It's exciting for me. “I can’t wait to see it.” He declined to elaborate on whether he would be involved in other Marvel projects, saying: “You know I can’t tell you!”Despite his disappointment at not being a part of the film, Kaluuya expressed his excitement at seeing how the film honors the late Boseman.

In an interview with ET Online, he said: "It is love, man, but I also know that they are going to do Chad an incredible, incredible, incredible service, so that's what really matters to me." It looks amazing! Can't wait to see it.”
