‘Toy Story’ stars Get- together for a mini breakfast

The meeting was almost three months after Hanks spoke out about Allen not being cast in the movie, which stars as the voice of Buzz Lightyear. In June, Hanks spoke about the -directed drama Elvis where he plays Elvis' manager Col. ; Lightyear was also in theaters at the same time. In the interview, he called out producers of Lightyear and said he wanted to work with Tim Allen on the sequel, but they didn't let Tim Allen do it.

The joy of watching it in theaters

Hanks said, ‘I wanted to go head-to-head with Tim Allen.' Hanks did not clarify his comment further, instead switching to discussing the joy of seeing theaters fill with people again after the lockdown. Allen voices Buzz Lightyear, the toy, while Evans voices Buzz Lightyear, the cinematic astronaut inspiration for the toy in the Toy Story universe.
Allen revealed this by saying, ‘We talked about this years ago; that came up in one of the sessions. He said, ‘what a fun movie that would be. ‘This is a whole team that really had nothing to do with the first movies and there is really no Toy Story without Woody,' he added.

When discussing the movie on Entertainment Tonight earlier this summer

Evans commended Allen and admitted that it was “nerve-racking” to deliver some of the movie's most well-known lines. Evans said, “Because it's something that we all know from someone else,” referring to Allen's delivery of the ‘Toy Story' franchise character Buzz Lightyear's famous phrase, “To infinity and beyond!” You want to put your own spin on it, but you also need to make sure you pay homage to what we all know and love. So it's big shoes to fill.
