Teresa, 50, and her professional partner Pasha Pashkov, 36, performed the Tango on the first episode of Dancing with the Stars season 31 to the song We Found Love by Rihanna. The RHONJ superstar appeared a little wooden on the dance floor after starting the routine with one of her signature table flips.
She appeared to stumble during the routine at one point and stopped dancing for a few seconds. Teresa's disgruntled audience quickly noticed the embarrassing performance.
Taking to social media, “Teresa has no idea what is going on,” one viewer wrote. “Oh babe, that was even more painful than the last [dance],” another comment. A third wrote: “Not Teresa flipping a table in her first dance, lol.” One fan posted: “I love Teresa. She looks good as hell, as others were more sympathetic.
Unfortunately for Teresa, the judges were too quick to criticize her performance. Len Goodman said to the reality star: “You started to lose focus somewhere in the middle, and it started to get a little brittle. “Work on developing stronger legs and feet, then attack the dance floor. But well done”.
B. Tonioli concurred: “All that fire and passion you used setting up the scene, you have to use it when you dance. Every movement has to have an intention, and you have to translate all that passion through your moves. You cannot step into a dance, you have to become the dance.”

Each of the four judges gave Teresa and Pasha a five-star rating, giving them a total of 20 points. The couple was in the bottom two but was spared by the judges' votes and advanced to the next week.
After her marriage to Luis Ruelas last month, Teresa told DWTS co-host Alfonso Ribeiro, 50, that 2022 has already been “an amazing year,” while appearing upset with the outcome. Gia, Teresa's eldest daughter, and Luis, 47, were also present to joyfully see the performance. When compared to her previous table-flipping demeanor, Teresa said in her introduction video that she now feels like a much calmer person.
After the long-running program was canceled by ABC, tonight's episode marked the start of the first season to ever air on Disney+. Co-host Alfonso made his debut alongside host Tyra Banks, and the audience was welcoming to him.
