The movie ‘Saw 10’ will release on Halloween 2023 under the direction of Kevin Greutert

The film is expected to terrify audiences during next year’s Halloween season, so mark your calendars. Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures have announced the release date for the next Saw film for October 27, 2023, just in time for Halloween.

Currently, the film does not have an official title, but more details are expected as production gets underway. Kevin Greutert, who directed Saw VI and Saw: The Final Chapter, will direct the tenth installment of the Saw franchise.

In addition to Jessabelle and Jackals, the director has also directed other horror films. Outside of directing, Greutert also worked on the first five Saw films and Jigsaw as an editor. Greutert’s return could signal a return to what fans loved about the previous films due to his experience in the iconic horror franchise.

According to Saw franchise producers Mark Burg and Oren Koules, “We have listened to the fans and are hard at work planning a movie that Saw fans and horror fans alike will enjoy. The film will be directed by Kevin Greutert, who directed Saw VI, one of the fans’ favorites.

We’ll reveal more details soon.”In 2004, James Wan directed the first installment of the Saw film franchise, based on his short film of the same name. Despite mixed reviews, Jigsaw ranked in at $103.9 million at the box office with audiences flocking to see the terrifying deadly traps created by Jigsaw.

Six sequels were produced annually until 2010 with Saw: The Final Chapter intended to end the series. After a seven-year hiatus, the film series returned with Jigsaw in 2017 and Spiral: From the Book of Saw, a reboot starring Chris Rock. Fans can now witness the terrifying return of the franchise during next year’s Halloween season. As part of the Saw franchise, the 10th installment will be released in theaters on October 27, 2023.
