The movie Prey is praised by ‘Predator star Jesse Ventura: ‘Great, Great Film!’

A devoted fan of the franchise, the actor, who appeared alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger in the original 1987 film, called the prequel a “brilliant film.” A tweet from Ventura on Saturday evening noted that Midthunder’s performance was “great, great.” Thank you for joining the Predator family.

Amber Midthunder and Trachtenberg expressed their gratitude for Ventura’s endorsement, as they praised the “Predator” actor and former Minnesota governor. “Thank you very much, sir!” “Thank you so much for watching and for your kind words!” Ventura replied to Trachtenberg.

“There are no words to describe how grateful I am,” Midthunder wrote in her own stunning response. Since its debut on Hulu over the weekend, “Prey” has garnered a lot of attention. “Predator” prequel has received an enthusiastic response from critics, earning a 91% approval rating on the review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes.

Social media users also seem to be enjoying the new twist on the action franchise. The movie “Prey” follows a Comanche woman named Naru (Midthunder) as she tries to prove her skills as a hunter on the Great Plains in the 1700s. Naru must team up with her brother (Dakota Beavers) to fight an alien with dreadlocks who kills for sport.

Despite the streaming release plan, Trachtenberg has said that the production stayed true to its mission to produce a cinematic experience befitting the franchise. Variety also spoke with Beavers about the film’s prominent Native American representation.

“I saw certain people talking before the previews came out about how they would defeat the Predator with sticks and rocks.” Beavers said. The Native Americans were very capable… A lot happened before written history in North America. The area was pretty lively. In addition, they were quite skilled. “They weren’t inept just because it was a little different than their neighbors across the pond.”
