The future of ‘Crossword Mysteries’ and more Hallmark follow-up films from Lacey Chabert

In addition to some sequels to fan favorites, has a long list of things she wants to see on Hallmark Channel in the future. During a Christmas Con panel on Saturday, the Mean Girls actress shared her excitement about Hallmark Movies & Mysteries’ series.

“These five movies have grown on me, and I love where they’ve taken the characters – finally solving the murder and giving them a happy ending,” said Chabert, 39, smiling as she glanced at .

She added, “They are fun, but we haven’t made one in a year and a half, so I don’t know what the future holds.” She added, “We’ll have to wait and see.”Hopefully, we’ll be working together on a lot more stuff in the future,” Elliott, 47, added.

Chabert offered an optimistic response, referencing their other series of films together, All of My Heart, in which the characters got married in 2018.

“I was just saying that I would want to follow up on All of My Heart,” she said.’Mean Girls star Lacey Chabert’s 5-year-old daughter just realized that she is in the show while Elliott joked that Chabert was only interested in seeing the goats in the series, and nearly 600 audience members cheered.

Every time the goats were around, Brennan said, ‘Oh, she’s gone. There she is.’ But there were all these little teeny tiny babies!” Chabert said. Several scenes had Chabert wanting to hold a goat. Later, Chabert said, “Brennan and I have worked together on nine movies and it’s been an absolute pleasure.”

At Christmas Con, she debuted her latest Hallmark rom-com, Groundswell, and announced she will film a new Christmas movie. Based on the novel by , the movie Groundswell will air Sunday, Aug. 21 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. There is still time to attend the Christmas Con in California until Sunday. Next year’s event will be held in Edison, New Jersey on December 9-11.
