The fate of CNN’s Don Lemon has been revealed

Even though CNN has undergone major changes since it was merged with Warner Bros Discovery, its parent company, in 1995. Stelter’s exit came at the same time as Reliable Sources, his Sunday TV show was canceled. In an editorial meeting held following the split, CNN’s CEO Chris Licht let staffers know that there would be more changes to come.

“There may be changes that you may not agree with or understand,” Licht told staffers, according to Deadline reports. “I want to acknowledge to everyone that this is a time of change. I know it is a little unsettling.” Additionally, he spoke of his irritation with some media reports regarding the company’s plans, reassuring staff that the reports were untrue.

As far as the plans are concerned, Licht says that only a handful of trusted executives are aware of them. The situation does not provide many employees with a feeling of security about the future of their careers. The good news is that CNN’s favorite show will remain on the air for the foreseeable future. It appears that Don Lemon won’t be going anywhere anytime soon, according to an article in The Wrap.

He has been very opinionated and politically progressive in his role. As a Black Lives Matter advocate, he does not hold back when discussing the Trump administration or Roe v. Wade’s recent overturning by the Supreme Court. The chief domestic correspondent, Jim Acosta, is also staying.

WB Films has not informed Discovery sources of any plans to eliminate Lemon or Acosta. In a statement to The Wrap, a CNN spokesperson declined to comment on Lemon and Acosta. Licht, however, wants a more neutral media platform – one that’s less associated with a left-wing lens.

The source said, “It’s not a good branding position to be the opposite of Fox News.” He wants to be tough and not affiliated with a side. It’s fair to say that he doesn’t like being pitted against Fox News.”
