“Holy hell, I couldn’t be happier right now!” Adele penned the song after learning she had won her first Emmy Award.
After taking home an Emmy over the weekend, Adele has moved closer to completing her EGOT collection. Following the 2022 Creative Arts Emmy Awards on Sunday (September 4), the actress was proud to pose for a couple of photos with an Emmy statuette. The awards ceremony was held in honor of Adele: One Night Only, one of the evening’s top winners.

She published this on Instagram and Twitter late on a Sunday night, tagging one of the executive producers of Adele: One Night Only and adding a laughing emoji to the message. “Trust me to have an EGO officially,” she said in the post.
In addition to winning the Emmy for outstanding variety special (pre-recorded), Adele’s CBS television special also took home the award for best program in four other categories.

The director of Adele: One Night Only, Paul Dugdale, won the award for outstanding directing for a variety special, and the show itself won the awards for outstanding sound mixing for a variety series or special, outstanding lighting design/lighting direction for a variety special, and outstanding technical direction, camerawork, and video control for a special. Paul Dugdale also won the award for outstanding directing for a variety special.

Adele’s message is filled with gratitude and respect

Adele tweeted a thank you to the Griffith Observatory for allowing her to perform there, saying, “@griffithobservatory, thank you so much for letting me sing up on your mountain, and big love to all of the other nominees x.”
In the same category as Adele, the other nominees were as follows: Norm Macdonald: Nothing Special (Netflix), Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts (HBO/HBO Max), Dave Chappelle: The Closer (Netflix), and One Last Time: An Evening With Tony Bennett & Lady Gaga. Dave Chappelle: The Closer was produced by Netflix (CBS).

15 Grammys and one

After racking up 15 Grammys and one Oscar, all that’s left for Adele to do is win a Tony so that she can officially be called an EGOT winner. An EGOT winner has triumphed at all four of the most prestigious awards in the American entertainment industry: the Emmy, the Grammy, the Oscar, and the Tony.
One Night Only was broadcast in November 2021 and contained ten performances, including four songs from her most recent album, 30, and an interview with Oprah Winfrey. The performances were part of the One Night Only special.

They have all won Emmys.
