Three young women who have an encounter with the Sanderson Sisters bring them back to Modern Salem. In comparison, figuring out how to stop the Witches from creating another blunder in the world.

Directed by the new Anne Fletcher

As per reports, the OG director Adam Shankman couldn’t match the dates of the movie. Hence the network announced the new Director Anne Fletcher on board.

 Shankman has good things to say about the movie

As heartbroken as I am that I won’t be able to direct my friends Bette, Sarah, Jessica, and Kathy in what is sure to be nothing short of a major event for Disney+ due to scheduling conflicts, I couldn’t be more pleased to be handing over the reins to Anne, who has brought so much laughter and joy into people’s lives with her previous work.”

Cameo by Thora Birch

She has a cameo as a character named Dani. Thora Birch tweeted, “2022 will be ‘Mah-velours!’ in May 2021.

In one of her interviews, she disclosed how excited she was to be a part of the movie. She further added They’ve been talking about this reboot for five years. I’m excited to see what it all looks like. “I know a little bit about a couple of ideas for stories, but I don’t know where it’s all going to fall at the end of the day.”

Vinessa Shaw

Vinessa revealed the makers had not approached her for a comeback. As much as she would love to be a part of the movie, there is no mark of Vinessa in the movie either.

I think there’s a different storyline with younger people, but why can’t we all come back somehow?” she added.

Shooting with a new cast

The movie’s cast was spotted at La Salle Academy in Providence, Rhode Island, in October 2021. 

The new cast joining the movie’s sequel are Whitney Peak, Lilia Buckingham, Tony Hale, Sam Richardson, Hannah Waddingham, Belissa Escobedo, Doug Jones, Juju Brener, Froy Gutierrez, Taylor Henderson, and Nina Kitchen, respectively.

First Look and Filming

Disney + had released the first look of the three wicked witches in a rather spine-chilling appearance with the costumes.

Milder, on her Twitter, wrote “That’s a Wrap” in Jan 2022 with a picture of witches on a spell book.

Halloween Premier

Shankman congratulates the team on the release date of the movie. He wrote.

Musical Performance

 Parker hinted she would collaborate with Midler and Najimy for a performance in the movie.

She added, “Yes, there will be a number! Of course, there will be a number — a number or two,” she quipped, noting that shooting the sequel was “amazing and funny.”

We’re back! I can’t give you more than that,” Parker teased Vogue while walking the 2022 Met Gala red carpet in May. The actress noted that the Sanderson sisters “think they’ve won this time. They still enjoy musical numbers.

Release date and Teaser

Disney + officials announced the film would be officially out on September 30, 2022.

The trailer was dropped on June 28, 2022.

“Lock up your children,” Midler’s character, Winifred, declares after Peak and Escobedo light the Black Flame Candle. “Yes, Salem, we’re back!”

Winifred, Sarah, and Mary are on their way to hunt children in the trailer. Hannah Waddingham’s character is filled with mystery and worth a watch.
