The firm SyCo of SIMON COWELL is being sued.
The “Mr. Nasty” of British television, Simon Cowell was known for his blunt, direct remarks on The X Factor, during which it seemed that no contestant’s feelings were spared. Six previous acts, however, have now stated they intend to sue SyCo for “abuse, harassment, and neglect” on their behalf. The performers assert that they had to pay for medical care since their experience on the show left them traumatized, “sleep deprived,” and psychologically ill.
The show was a horrible experience.
The judge, who is now filming America’s Got Talent in the US, will undoubtedly be appalled by the idea of a pricey case being brought against him. A vocalist who wished to remain unnamed made the following statement: “Being on the show was a horrible experience. The singer continued by saying that all six believed the residual consequences of their supposed trauma had reduced their ability to make money.
According to the claimant’s statement in the Daily Mirror, “Simon needs to accept responsibility.”
Want the payment to cover their medical expenses.
“We lost a lot of money because we went through phases in our lives where we didn’t make any money to deal with the trauma that the show had left us with.” The six adamantly state that they have emails, tapes, and documentation of “psychological examinations” conducted after the show as proof of their allegations and that they want the payment to cover their medical expenses. The six claims they have only as of yet spoken with attorneys and discussed plans to proceed; no formal date for a trial has been established. They promise, however, to present the public with a radically different aspect of the event than what they might have assumed from its glitzy façade.
The X Factor to come under scrutiny.
If the legal action the acts have threatened does occur, The X Factor, which has given worldwide recognition and multimillion pound fortunes to groups like One Direction, is expected to come under scrutiny. According to SyCo, no allegations have been made that Simon Cowell has been directly involved in any misconduct, as reported by The Mirror. The welfare of those competing is our top priority, and we have strong measures and welfare teams in place to ensure help is always available, according to an X Factor spokesman who also spoke to the publication.
