Sister Wives is an American reality television series on TLC premiered on 26th September 2010. is in spiritual marriage with his wife, Meri Brown, , Janelle Brown, and fourth wife, Robyn Brown. He Robyn legally after divorcing Meri and tying the knot with Robyn in 2014 for legal purposes to adopt Robyn’s three children from a previous marriage.

Christine Brown, the third wife of Kody, announced her decision to divorce in November 2021 after welcoming six children with him during their 25 years of marriage. The current status of Kody’s marriage is less documented about his complex connections to the four married women and their family ties to him. 

Meri Brown, the first wife of Kody. Meri grew up in a polygamist family, having 27 siblings. Kodi and Meri met at church when she was 18. Kody said of Meri in the book, ‘Meri was so cute and sweet when I met her that I had a hard time suppressing my hopelessly romantic nature. She had a remarkable purity about her. I had a sneaking suspicion that we were soulmates. They tied the knot in April 1990 and were aware of their intention to add more wives to the family.

Janelle Brown was the second wife of Kody; he was also her second husband. Her first husband was ; she met him in high school and realized she was more interested in his family. Janelle met Kody when he and Meri were still dating. She was in the stage of a divorce from her first husband. Janelle attended Kody and Meri’s wedding with her first husband. She wasn’t raised in a polygamist family, and her mother, Sheryl, was against the idea until she met and married Kody’s father, Winn, who became his third wife. 

Christine met Kody through her sister, Wendy, when she was 19. First, they both formed a friendship. She became interested in him early on but felt his marriage to Meri was still too new to bring in another sister’s wife. They married after six weeks of courtship. Kody said of Christine in the book, ‘Her kindness and her positive nature brokered a peace in our household.’ 

Kody was Robyn’s second husband. Robyn married David Preston Jessop when she was 21. David is the first cousin of Christine and the third cousin of Kody. Robyn and David have three children together, and Robyn said that she planned to have , but their marriage did not last long enough for them to welcome a second wife. Robyn had a significantly longer counter with Kody, six months insisting on knowing her future husband before agreeing to marry him.
