Fourteen years after her unsuccessful debut, Shereé Whitfield finally put on the She by Shereé fashion show on Sunday’s season finale of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, but not without some setbacks, including an unexpected visit from an ex-boyfriend.
During a confessional, Whitfield, 52, told the cameras, “At this point, I’ve done everything I can do.” “The venue is booked, but the clothes, that’s another matter.” Whitfield then disclosed that she was experiencing problems with creating her pieces.
She said, “I outsourced a production business in New York for some work, and she claimed she would have everything in time, but as of now, she has nothing for me. “I’m becoming annoyed because I don’t know what I’m receiving or how many pieces I’m getting.”Whitfield’s first attempt at staging a fashion show didn’t exactly go as planned in RHOA’s first season in 2008 because of poor production and quality, leaving her without samples to show her guests.
Whitfield admitted she only had five items the night before the presentation and was still awaiting delivery of 19 more. Yes, 19! It doesn’t seem promising right now, she said. “I’m doing everything I can at this point; the clothing is out of my control.
“She was already anxious when her ex-boyfriend Tyrone Gilliams entered the room. He caught Whitfield off guard when he said, “I thought I’d pull up on you.”Whitfield commented, “So you just pop up, but when I was in your city you couldn’t pop up.” She was all set to meet Gilliams in Philadelphia, but he never came.
Whitfield said to the cameras, “I did it after 14 years.” “I’ve had many highs and lows. I’ve been let down a lot. I urge everyone who doubts their abilities to persist through perseverance, resolve, and hard effort. It will certainly be worthwhile.”On Sunday, September 11, the Real Housewives of Atlanta season 14 reunion will begin.
