NEVER IN MY LIFE HAVE I Season 4 has wrapped filming, with the season finale of the teen comedy-drama expected to premiere on Netflix in 2023, though no date has been confirmed.
Netflix announced in March that it had renewed Never Have I Ever for a fourth and final season. Only six weeks after the third cycle concluded, the cast was back at work to take the world to a close. Season four filming began in mid-May and concluded this week in early August, with co-creators Mindy Kaling and Lang Fisher working tirelessly to complete the last episode as soon as possible.
Season three ended on a huge cliffhanger, with Devi Vishwakumar (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan) unexpectedly turning up at Ben’s house after deciding to take him up on his “one unrestricted boink” offer.
Fortunately, season four will resolve this plot point, with viewers having to learn what happens between the two main characters at such a critical juncture in their connection. While Lewison, 21, couldn’t reveal any plot details, he did tease the ending: “I think season four is the greatest season that we’ve done for all of the personalities and our show in general.”
Lewison, who plays Ben on Mindy Kaling’s show, taunted the final season in an exclusive interview with RadioTimes.com briefly after filming wrapped. “I’d like to tell you it all, but I’m afraid I’d get in trouble. Even so, I will say sincerely – and I say this every time – that I believe each season just gets better all the time, and I believe season 4 is the best, dare I say the best.”
Lewison went on to say that he believes fans will “really enjoy it. The writers did an incredible job in such a short amount of time.” They began writing season 4 instantly after season 3 like they just ran directly into it. “So, without much of a break, they’ve created something pretty magnificent and unique. And I truly believe it will blow people’s minds.”
