The TV host Sarah Beeny has admitted to having breast cancer and going through therapy to combat it. The broadcaster and property expert continued by saying that she would carry on with her Channel 4 series and new book despite being ill. Although her initial mammogram revealed nothing alarming, a biopsy later revealed it to be breast cancer, necessitating surgery. As her mother passed away at age 39 when breast cancer spread to her brain when Sarah was only 10 years old, the real estate star confessed she had been awaiting her diagnosis.
When Sarah was asked about her diagnosis, she recalled: “The nurse was really sweet, and they were extremely nice to me, but I thought, ‘You don’t understand. “‘I have waited 40 years to hear those words.’ I knew I was going to hear it one day,” she said. Sarah was greatly affected by her mother’s illness because she didn’t know that her mother had cancer and wasn’t informed that it was terminal. The celebrity recalled her grief at being informed that her mother “wouldn’t wake up” on the day of her passing and expressed gratitude for having a “communicative family. “Instead of waiting for her chemotherapy-induced hair loss, Sarah chose to cut her hair over the weekend. The star of Property Ladder acknowledged that she had been in tears before it occurred but said she felt much better afterward because of her boys’ efforts.
I was sad before. I think because losing your hair is so real: before that, you can sort of pretending it’s not happening,” she reflected. Billy Swift, Sarah’s husband Graham Swift’s 18-year-old son, Charlie Swift, 16, Rafferty Swift, 14, and Laurie Swift, 12, were in charge of cutting Sarah’s hair. Due to the somewhat uneven haircut they gave her, this generated a lot of laughter, and Sarah said that she “wouldn’t recommend hiring four teenage lads to cut off your hair. When they compared her to the “gorgeous” Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) from Game of Thrones, she added that she was “flattered,” but she also felt honored.

For Channel 4, Sarah most recently starred in Sarah Beeny’s New Life in the Country, a documentary that follows her family as they move into their dream home in Somerset. Twenty years ago, Sarah first gained notoriety as the host of Property Ladder. As a family home and wedding venue, Sarah and her artist husband Graham worked to repair Rise Hall before selling it in 2019. After purchasing a 90-hectare (220-acre) sheep farm there in 2018, they later disclosed they were leaving London to relocate to the seven-bedroom home in Somerset. Beeny’s Restoration Nightmare, Help! My House is Falling, and Sarah Beeny’s New Life in the Country are just a few of the UK real estate shows for which Sarah has worked.
