The Street Outlaws: Fastest in America driver and star Ryan Fellows died in a car accident early Sunday morning at the age of 41. According to TMZ, the accident occurred just outside Las Vegas, where the driver was racing another driver in the 8th of 9 races that day. As Fellows approached the finish line in his gold Nissan 240z, he lost control of the vehicle.
The vehicle Ryan was driving rolled and caught fire; unfortunately, no one was able to pull him from the fire in time. In a statement from Discovery, the Street Outlaws family expressed their sadness at the tragic loss of Ryan Fellows.
In light of this sudden and devastating loss, we are sending our deepest sympathies to Ryan’s loved ones. Brad Sparks has started a GoFundMe account to help with the family’s funerary expenses. Street Outlaws is a dangerous show, and this isn’t the first accident involving a cast member.
Earlier this year, JJ Da Boss and his wife Tricia were filming Street Outlaws: America’s List when they crashed their car. The accident involved both of them in separate vehicles; however, Tricia remained in the hospital for quite some time after the accident.
The Street Outlaws team has also witnessed heartbreak in non-driving incidents. It was praised that Tyler Priddy, also known as Flip, had a knack for working with cars and shared an excellent friendship with Big Chief and Kamikaze.
His appearance on Street Outlaws was short-lived, as he died before the show was ever broadcast. There is no information about the cause of his death. According to initial reports, it was not a car accident. In September 2020, Christopher Ellis passed away tragically at the age of 39.
