Martin Turns Thirty: Where Are the Cast?

Has Martin`s Fox Debut?

Gina, I swear! Has Martin’s Foxdebut really been 30 years ago? Yes, the popular sitcom, which we chose as oneof the 90 Best Shows of the 1990s, celebrates its 30th anniversary in August 27. Of course, BET+ members are already aware of that accomplishment because the Martin cast reunited for a 90-minute reunion special that debuted in June on the service.

It was wonderful to film that reunion, Tisha Campbell, who portrayed the girlfriend-turned-wife of comic Martin Lawrence’s deejay character, told TV Insider in June. We had the impression that we were about to receive a script and begin production, she continued. We had a great time. Here are some updates on the Martin stars from three decades ago to keep the party continuing.

Lawrence proceeded to Play

Following Martin, Lawrence proceeded to play the lead role in the Bad Boys movie series, co-starring with Will Smith in 2003’s Bad Boys II and 2020’s Bad Boys for Life. He has played the lead role in three Big Momma’s House films and co-starred with Kelsey Grammer in the 2014 FX sitcom Partners.

He’ll appear again soon on the AMC sci-fi comedy Damascus. Among other TV roles, Campbell played the mother Janet “Jay” Kyle in the ABC sitcom My Wife and Kids, Michelle Dulcett in the Lifetime detective series The Protector, and Damona Watkins in the ABC comedy Dr. Ken. She now plays Suzanne in the Netflix comedy Uncoupled and voices Tawny Young in the HBO Max series Harley Quinn.

Todd in the Bounce Last Call

Todd in the Bounce comedy Last Call, Councilman Davis in the ALLBLK drama 5th Ward, and Myles Wilson in the Nickelodeon comedy Tyler Perry’s Young Dylan are just a few of Payne’s recent TV appearances. He worked behind the scenes on Last Call as an associate

producer and is the director of the upcoming movie Strange Love. Following Martin, Ford played NYPD officer Malcolm Barker on the Fox police drama New York Undercover and appeared in guest roles on Judging Amy and House. Additionally, he started the youth empowerment initiative Be Still and Know. Ford, 52, passed away in 2016 from a ruptured abdominal aneurysm.

Arnold played a variety of roles

Arnold has played a variety of roles over the past 25 years, including Rochelle in the UPN/CW sitcom Everybody Hates Chris, Judi Mann in the TV Land comedy Happily Divorced, and Cassie Calloway in the Starz dramedy Survivor’s Remorse. She is now acting in the CBS sitcom The Neighborhood as Tina Butler, the wife of Cedric the Entertainer’s character.
