Kevin Knipfing was born in New York, at Mineola, on April 26, 1965. Although he is well known by his name Kevin James. His mother, Janet, worked as an office worker and his father, joseph Valentine Knipfing Jr., was an insurance agency owner. Kevin grew up in Stony Brook with Brother Gary Valentine and sister Leslie. Kevin graduated from Ward Melville High School and went to the University of New York for further education.
Kevin’s first encounter as a standup comedian happened at East Side Comedy Club on Long Island in 1989. James met Steffiana de la Cruz in California 2001. They married on June 19, 2004, and are parents to four children.
