In September 2020, Teigen disclosed she had suffered a miscarriage after hospitalization after the diagnosed with a partial placenta abruption and had to deliver their son, Jack.

Now that Teigen is pregnant again, the EGOT winner shared that they are guardedly optimistic because of the fear that tragedy could strike again, but they’re looking forward to welcoming their new baby.

He feels it’ll be a new person to love and make our lives more joyful. We’ll still always carry some of that grief from Jack, but we will keep living and loving and finding joy in life.

In the same interview, Legend also touched on his fallout with his long-time friend and collaborator, Kanye West, and explained what happened between them.

They described it as we stopped being friends because he supported Trump, a mischaracterization. I was saying he was very upset with me and did not support him, which was the reality of the strain on our friendship.
