Jensen Ackles’ inherently awful soldier boy act is revealed in a new video for the fake Red Thunder film

The best part of Season 3 of The Boys was Jensen Ackles’ delightfully rude entrance as Soldier Boy, and not just because he was nude. Ackles gave it his all, despite the role being different from what Supernatural fans were used to seeing from him.

Almost a month after The Boys’ season finale, Amazon Studios dropped some previously unseen content via an extended look at the faux Soldier Boy movie-within-a-series, featuring Ackles. In the third season of the superhero series, we gradually learned about Soldier Boy’s background and how he was brainwashed and put on ice.

Upon tracking down his former sidekicks, the TNT Twins, fans saw the fake movie Red Thunder for the first time. A full scene from The Boys has been released by Vought International’s Twitter account, and it’s both hilariously good and bad, and impossible to ignore.

As Vought’s first superhero during WWII, Soldier Boy was trying everything possible to keep his name in the public eye, foreshadowing The Seven’s blockbuster status later in life. This was a product of an unpolished Hollywood, with Jensen Ackles’ awkward performance, not the only one.

Ackles does show his strength as an actor by pulling off believably mishandled acting, which is a talent all on its own. Fans had a rough idea of what Soldier Boy would be like when he was introduced in the third season of The Boys comics.

When Jensen Ackles was announced as the one donning Superman’s costume, it only heightened the anticipation for the actor taking on arguably the most NSFW scenes of his career. While we wait for new episodes of The Boys to arrive in 2023, with The Boys promoting its fake Vought++ streaming service, hopefully, more fake content will emerge as production ramps up for Season 4.

What kind of movies could it feature? A fourth season of The Boys will be followed by a spinoff series called Gen V, which will follow a new generation of superheroes at a college exclusively for young adults. With Gen V recasting some original leads, the spinoff series already had a complicated development, but nothing can stop this super franchise.
