The never-ending debate of wealth in America, the inequity, the richer possess more than an average American.
Jay Z, a billionaire, is part of the high Mile Club and, safe to say, belongs to the 1 percent.
In a candid interview, he said. Capitalism is not a bad thing.
He said, Yeah, we are not going to stop. Hip-hop is young. It’s still growing. We are not falling for that tricknology the public puts out there now. Before, it was the American dream. ‘Pull yourself up by your bootstraps. You can make it in America.”
All this while, America has been lying, and once we start believing and achieving, it wants to kick us out.
They come up with terms like Capitalist. We have been accused of terms like the “n” word and shit.
Jay Z discussed his growth over time. He said he shouldn’t be ashamed of his success. A place that set up a system and had us die at 21. Locking us out.
We took the other road and created an alternate route, the Music.
We worked hard and hustled to make this our way. Got killed.
