The 53-year-old pop star walked down the aisle and exchanged vows with her 50-year-old husband, Ben Affleck, by singing his favorite “perfect wedding love song,” they were first engaged more than 20 years ago. “Though Ben didn’t know, I asked Marc to surprise him by singing it at our wedding and he was lovely and generous to come,“ Lopez shared.

Kids of Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck from their past wedding also walked down the aisle with their parents in “The Things We’ve Handed Down.” The three-day celebration of the wonderful wedding in Ben Affleck’s enormous plantation-style house in rural Georgia began on Saturday.  

For the wedding event, Jennifer Lopez donned three distinct Ralph Lauren outfits; the first was a short-sleeved outfit made up of more than 1,000 handkerchiefs and 500 meters of fabric cut into ruffles and hand-made around the skirt with a turtleneck collar.

Customized return gift for all guests

As a return gift, the couple gave customized tote bags with initials that read “JB” The bag added a personal touch to each guest by adorning the straps with the name of every guest attending the wedding. 

Along with the bag, they gave a customized chocolate box, and the brother of Ben Affleck Casey did not receive any return gift as he did not attend the wedding.  After the wedding, the couple and their family celebrated a delicious brunch by the lake, and it was Jennifer Lopez who designed the décor all by herself. 

Couple’s past dating history

The couple’s actual romance began on the sets of the 2003 thriller “Gigli.” The same summer, she filed for divorce from her then-husband Chris Judd. Shortly after the divorce, Ben Affleck proposed to Jennifer Lopez with a six-carat pink diamond ring.

The engaged couple had plans to get married in 2003 but later postponed the wedding due to high media attention. And in January 2004, the couple parted ways.  Later in 2004, Jennifer Lopez married Marc Anthony, and in 2005, Ben Affleck married Jenifer Garner. And in 2008, Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony welcomed their twins Emme and Maximilian. 

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner welcomed three kids, Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel. Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck individually filed for divorce in 2014 and 2015, respectively. Jennifer Lopez got engaged to Alex Rodriguez, ending in March 2021. Subsequently, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck fell for each other and dated for quite a while.

After the dating rumors, the couple got engaged in April 2022, and she called it her second chance for true love. The couple decided to get married in July at the Little White Chapel in Las Vegas, popularly known for eloping couples. Afterward, they went on a honeymoon in Paris, celebrating Lopez’s 53rd birthday.
