Well, Iowa-freaking-Bunga. A radical poster, four turtle emojis, and creepy ooze draining into the sewer are just a few teasers Seth Rogen just dropped for the upcoming TMNT film. August 4, 2023, will mark the release date of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, a CGI-animated movie.
In addition to the year-long wait until the premiere date, Netflix is also only a day away from releasing Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Movie. It’s shaping up to be a heck of a Hot Turtle Summer, especially after Shredder’s Revenge launches in June.
Those efforts don’t even include the potentially one-day live-action movie that Paramount and Michael Bay remain committed to. Director Jeff Rowe is directing Mutant Mayhem, but no other details are available yet, including plot details, casting, or the vibe they’re going for.
Neither Lindsey Beer nor Brendan O’Brien, the current screenwriter who wrote Neighbors, The House, Mike, and Dave Need Wedding Dates, have given us any idea what to expect from this film. The movie is irreverent and silly, with opportunities for Zac Efron to take off his shirt.
