Hallmark Premiere: ‘Love In The Limelight’ Trailer, Synopsis, Cast

In the final days of summer, Hallmark movie fans are in for a treat as the network unveils the first film in its new Fall into Love series. “Love in the Limelight,” starring Alexa and Carlos PenaVega, premieres on Saturday.

As the film’s stars have been married off-screen since 2014, fans will enjoy once again seeing them share the screen together. As a pair, they previously appeared in the films “Enchanted Christmas,” “Love at Sea,” and “Picture Perfect Mysteries.”

She is also likely to be recognized for her other roles on Hallmark, including “Destination Wedding.” “Christmas Made to Order” and “Taking A Shot At Love.”

“Summer (Alexa PenVega) adored the Mandez Boyz, particularly Nick (Carlos PenaVega), their lead singer as a teenager,” the synopsis reads. The friendship was born after Nick received a sweet fan letter from Summer, prompting him to call her, sparking a friendship that still exists today.

After Nick’s manager books a gig for him at a small venue in Summer’s hometown of Salt Lake City, where she now works in human resources at a local university, the two meet in person.” The truth is that when they meet face-to-face, it quickly becomes evident that there is more between them, and it may take outside forces to convince them to face the music.

“The friendship between Summer and Abuelita (Ivonne Coll) paves the way for romance, and Summer’s Abuelita encourages her to follow her heart,” the synopsis says. “Love in the Limelight” will air Saturday, Aug. 6 at 8 PM Eastern Daylight Time.
