‘Coen Brothers’ star Ethan Coen is stepping out for his first solo project. It is unknown what will happen in the untitled film. However, it has been confirmed that Margaret Qualley will star as Maid and Geraldine Viswanathan will portray Miracle Workers.
His untitled feature film marks Ethan’s first time directing a movie independently after years of collaborating with his brother, Joel. The script for the untitled project was written by Coen and his wife, Tricia Cooke. In addition to Robert Graf and Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner of Working Title, the couple produces with Robert Graf.
It has taken Coen months to decide which actress will star in his high-profile project. It was Coen’s aim to find two actresses who had undeniable chemistry. It was Qualley and Viswanathan’s energy that won the prize after testing a long list of potential partners. This fall, the film will be shot.
Her most famous role is that of Alex Russell in the Netflix limited series Maid. As a result, she has become one of Hollywood’s most promising up-and-coming actors. Coraline Fargeat is currently filming Qualley’s The Substance. Yorgos Lanthimos’ Poor Things and Zachary Wigon’s Sanctuary are also already completed.
Geraldine Viswanathan played the role of Geraldine in the comedy series Miracle Workers opposite Daniel Radcliffe and Steve Buscemi. A recent TV appearance was as the narrator of the series Three Little Debris, and she will appear in Susanna Fogel’s Cat Person drama.
