Taylor Hicks won season 5

 In 2006, Taylor Hicks won season 5 of American Idol; after his win, he went on to sing a record deal. One of his first singles was ‘Do I Make You Proud,’ which hit the Billboard Hot 100 chart in Canada. After winning the competition, he dropped his label for two years. He started releasing music independently.

Just Sam won the hearts of the audience with her Performances

Samantha Diaz won season 18 of American Idol. In 2020, she won the hearts of many Americans during the Covid-19 pandemic. She signed with Hollywood Records after winning. 

Jordin Sparks is one of the youngest winners of American Idol

In 2007, Jordin won the sixth season of American Idol. He is one of the youngest winners in the show and was just 17 years old. After winning the competition, she signed with Jive Records and released a self-titled debut album. One of her songs hit the top most in 2008 as she sang with Chris Brown. In 2021, her last single ‘You Still Think Of Me’ was released.

Candice Glover auditioned in three seasons of American Idol

Candice Glover is a vocalist who brought vulnerability to American Idol. In 2013, she won season 12 of American Idol. She was the first female winner of American Idol, after Jordin Sparks in 2007. She also auditioned in two seasons of 9 and 11 and finally got eliminated at the final stages. In 2014, her debut album ‘Music Speaks’ reached the Billboard 200 chart. 

Scotty McCreery was the same age as Jordin Sparks and won American Idol

Scotty McCreery was 17 when he won season 10 of American Idol-like season 6 winner Jordin Sparks. He released three studio albums, one of which ‘Clear as Day’ reached Billboard’s US Top Country Album chart. In 2021, his last album ‘Same Truck’ peaked in the top 10 of the Country Albums Chart.

Phillip Phillips’s debut album was a hit on Billboard

Phillip Phillips was the eleventh winner of American Idol in 2012. His coronation song ‘Home’ sold more than 5 million and peaked at 6th on Billboard’s Hot 100. It was considered one of his most successful singles. Some of his latest singles, ‘Hold on to Your Love’ in 2021 and ‘Love Like That’ in 2022, failed to add to the charts.
