The second season of Ms. Marvel has reportedly been confirmed by Disney+, just a few months after the show's well-received first season. Iman Vellani played Kamala Khan, a Pakistani-American teenager who loves superheroes and gets her own superpowers from an old bangle with ties to her family's past. She made her franchise debut in the most recent Marvel Cinematic Universe series. Ms. Marvel followed Kamala as she tried to figure out how to use her new cosmic powers and become a hero for Jersey City. She also had to deal with the Department of Damage Control and the Clandestine.
Even though it got some bad reviews early on, critics liked Ms. Marvel for its lighter tone, kinetic style, cultural authenticity, and the performances of its cast, especially Vellani in the title role. The Disney+ show is just the beginning for the character. Brie Larson, Teyonah Parris, and Claire Vellani will all be back for The Marvels. The Ms. Marvel season 1 finale gave a hint of how it will all fit together when Larson's character and Vellani mysteriously switched places. Some people have been wondering what will happen to the character after the movie. Fans of Ms. Marvel may soon find out something exciting.
A new report from Hollywood insider Daniel Richtman (via CBR) says that Disney+ has given the green light for Ms. Marvel season 2. The show premiered on the streaming service a few months ago, and the first footage for The Marvels, in which Iman Vellani's Ms. Marvel character returns, was shown at the D23 Expo a week ago. A channel asked Disney for a comment, but they wouldn't confirm or deny that Ms. Marvel would be back for a second season.

The Ms. Marvel season 2 report could be false if Disney or Marvel don't confirm it. Head writer Sana Amanat has said that the MCU show was written as a “limited series” so that the characters could “go off and do other things.” This seems to make it unlikely that the show will come back for another chapter. Also, neither director Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy nor cinematographer Jules O'Loughlin have heard of plans for the second season of Ms. Marvel. However, O'Loughlin did say that Marvel Studios is always making plans for the future and preparing its actors and crew for what comes next.
If you liked the first season of Ms. Marvel, the news that there will be a second season should be exciting. Vellani got a lot of praise for how well she played Kamala on screen, and the young actor is just as excited about her future in the MCU. She wants everything from a Wolverine crossover to a Spider-Man-style character arc, so we can hope she gets a season 2 to explore how she has changed. In the meantime, people can watch the first season of Ms. Marvel on Disney+ and look forward to Kamala's next adventure in The Marvels, which will be released in theatres on July 28, 2023.
