Dancing with the Stars: An emotional performance of Selma Blair moved audience to tears

Dancing with the Stars is an American dance competition television series that premiered on 1st June 2005 on ABC. Season 30 of Dancing with the Stars premiered on 10th September 2021 on ABC network; this was the final season to air on ABC before the series moved to Disney+ in 2022. For season 31, the dance competition shifted to Disney+.

Tyra Banks and new co-host Alfonso Ribeiro joined the competition with a panel of judges, including Len Goodman, Derek Hough, Carrie Ann Inaba, and Bruno Tonioli. At this big premiere party, a group of 16 new competitors was challenged to dance to a song.

Competition begins with wonderful competitors

Charli D'Amelio is the TikTok star, first to wipe the dancefloor with the competition earning a whooping 32 points for her Cha Cha to Megan Thee Stallion's ‘Savage' with partner Mark Ballas. Wayne and partner Witney Carson are the seconds who earned 28 points in the Cha Cha routine to Carl Carlton's ‘She's a Bad Mama Jama.'

For the evening, Selma Blair gave a most emotional moment with her partner Sasha Faber, dancing the Viennese waltz to David Cook's ‘Time of My Life. Selma is competing in the event after being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2018, which brought the ballroom to tears including judges Carrie Ann and fellow contestant Jordin Sparks. Selma felt emotional while receiving scores and said, ‘I'm so grateful, I'm so grateful. Selma and Sasha are in third place, with Shangela and her partner Gleb Savchenko ranking up with 27 points.

Elimination of the season

Jersey Shore star Vinny Guadagnino and partner Koko Iwasaki got the first elimination of the season, scored the lowest score from judges with 16 points, and finally got saved by a fan's vote. The bottom two consisted of Teresa Giudice, her partner Pasha Pashkov, Jason Lewis, and his partner Peta Murgatroyd. Judges voted to save Teresa eliminating the former Calvin Klein model.
