Check out a new song from LEGO Star Wars: Summer Vacation by Weird Al

During the hot summer months, Disney+ has released a new animated special from Lucasfilm and LEGO. “LEGO Star Wars: Summer Vacation” joins “LEGO Star Wars: The Holiday Special” and “LEGO Star Wars: Terrifying Tales.”

The original special takes place shortly after the events of “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker,” though clearly, it jumps between sagas. In addition to Rey and Finn, Luke and Leia, Obi-Wan, Darth Vader, and so many others, it has been a summer of adventure for all of them. In one scene, Bossk the bounty hunter is seen relaxing on the beach.

There are voices from Yvette Nicole Brown, Kelly Marie Tran, Anthony Daniels, Billy Dee Williams, and even “Weird Al” Yankovic in the special. To get you pumped about the show, we have a clip of Yankovic’s new song, Scarif Beach Party.

If you know Yankovic, you know that the lyrics are both hilarious and brilliant. In the video, he even performs on the beach with the Hawaiian shirt-wearing cantina band.
In the lyrics, “Just chill and take a nap now, or grill an onto wrap now.” It seems like right now we need a “Weird Al” Yankovic beach party, even a LEGO one.

Scarif Beach Party

The song “Scarif Beach Party” does a good job, as the kids say, as a beach anthem. In addition, the video is really cute. There’s the Emperor in a tank top and Darth Vader in scuba gear doing a butt bump dance (the Emperor really needs sunscreen), Obi-Wan in a Hawaiian shirt, clearly not in his “Obi-Wan Kenobi” series sad phase, and a Force ghost in a tank top.

There’s Jabba dancing in a festive hat, but he’s always seemed like someone who knew his way around a party. The trailer shows people limboing under lightsabers – which seems unsafe – and Force cheating at volleyball, making you wonder if you can keep sand off your towel with the Force.

Although the Force has its uses for battles and saving the universe, let’s be honest. There has to be a practical purpose as well. You can’t tell me that this has never been thought of before.
