Cameron Diaz is officially 50

After all, the Charlie’s Angels alum was surrounded by a star-studded group of friends and family when she celebrated her 50th birthday on August 30.

Familiar faces who attended a sushi dinner for the actress at the Nobu Malibu celebration included Cameron’s husband, Benji Madden, with whom she shares 2-year-old daughter Raddix, sister-in-law Nicole Richie and brother-in-law Joel Madden.

Leslie Mann and Judd Apatow stepped out at the intimate affair. Meanwhile, Adele was clad in black as she made a very low-key entrance into the Japanese restaurant. When the evening ended, Zoe Saldaña was spotted getting into a car at the valet stand while her husband, artist Marco Perego, helped Benji pack birthday gifts into the truck.

Cameron embraces every moment in her life

A source said, “Cameron was wonderful. She had the best time celebrating her birthday,” adding, “she was laughing and very much enjoying herself. She kept hugging Benji and her friends.”

While aging can sometimes come with mixed emotions, especially as a woman in Hollywood, a second insider said she is embracing turning 50 and loves her life so much. The insider said, “she loves being married, and she loves being a mom,” adding, “she is also excited to start filming again.”

Cameron coming out of her eight-year hiatus

In June, the media reported that Cameron was coming out of her eight-year retirement. The Bad Teacher star will appear alongside Jamie Foxx in Netflix’s upcoming flick Back in Action. She said, “When you’re doing something that you know and you’ve done well and you know how it works—and it’s consumed your whole life for so long—it’s kind of a nice thing.”

She continued, “Let me just step back for a second, take a look at what the whole image looks like for me, and what are the things that I’d do better and be more involved with that would make me feel more whole?'” adding, “And I did that.”
