Fans defended Lizzo after the comedian made several offensive remarks about the “Good as Hell” singer.
In an interview for the podcast “The Art of Dialogue,” Spears made offensive comments regarding the singer’s weight and attractiveness. “I can’t get over how much she resembles the shite emoji. She is a stunning young lady.
Despite having a really attractive face, she constantly flaunts her body. In online footage, Spears says, “C’mon dude. I’m not the world’s fittest n***a, but when you’re humorous, confident, and good-looking, people notice you. I believe I am at least attractive. You become ***y.
The actor and stand-up comedian continued, “You know what hurts me about women? The inconsistency and hypocrisy. Queen, yaas. Queen, slay. I wouldn’t say I like diabetes. I wouldn’t say I like heart issues. F**k cholesterol, f**k heart disease. You all talk about sisterhood and profess to be feminists. Still, if you cared about your sister, you would say things like, “Black lady, we love you and your confidence, but this ain’t it.”
Following his stunning remarks, Twitter erupted in support of Lizzo. Additionally, many commenters underlined the irony of Spears’ criticism of Lizzo’s weight, pointing out that the comedian isn’t in the finest of physical form.
One person wrote, “Lizzo dancing in heels for hours AND playing the flute during them while you breathe heavily while sitting.” And a PSA: Being overweight need not indicate health problems.
