On Monday, September 12, Jennifer Hudson will begin the first edition of The Jennifer Hudson Show by catching up with American Idol judge Simon Cowell for their first face-to-face discussion since that unforgettable 2004 season.
The new Hudson series will include music, viral sensations, community heroes, trending stories, and celebrity interviews. In addition to other station groupings, it will be syndicated by Fox Television Stations, Hearst Television, Sinclair Broadcast Group, TEGNA, Nexstar Media Group, Scripps Media, and Gray Media Group. The show will take place on the 41st birthday of Jennifer Hudson.
On the first episode of her new daytime talk program, Jennifer Hudson will experience a flashback. The Jennifer Hudson Show, which debuts on Monday, Sept. 12, will have Simon Cowell as its first guest, according to PEOPLE exclusively. The 40-year-old Hudson will meet with Cowell, a former American Idol judge, for the first time since she finished eighth in season 3 of the singing competition series in 2004.

In an earlier interview with Dallas station KERA-TV, Hudson described how Cowell, 62, would be her ideal guest, saying it would be “wonderful” to reconnect with the Idol judge who gave her her start.
