A potential Punisher return from Jon Bernthal excites Marvel fans

A decade after the Defenders shows ended on Netflix, Charlie Cox’s Daredevil and Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin have already been included in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The two actors will appear in a new Daredevil series on Disney+, and it looks like Jon Bernthal’s Punisher may follow. We may be on the verge of adding Frank Castle to the MCU in the near future.

In an interview at C2E2 this weekend, Rosario Dawson revealed her hopes of returning to her role as Claire Temple in Marvel’s Netflix series. To the surprise of the crowd, Dawson revealed that “Punisher is coming back,” although she did not elaborate.

Many Marvel fans online were shocked by the news as well, since they have been petitioning for all of the major Netflix Marvel characters to come over to the MCU for years. People were freaking out in no time after Bernthal’s Punisher was confirmed to return.
