A polarizing Netflix character makes a return in ‘Thunderbolts’ for MCU fans

Thunderbolts will enter theaters in July 2024, and speculation has naturally turned to the team’s potential members now that we know the Marvel Cinematic Universe will be assembling its antiheroes and villains.

As the ring leader, Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine is the top choice, especially after the passing of William Hurt as Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross. The other top choices include Wyatt Russell’s John Walker, Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova, Daniel Brühl’s Zemo, and Sam Rockwell’s Justin Hammer.

As Spider-Man: No Way Home and Hawkeye reintroduce Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock and Vincent D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk, which will pay dividends in upcoming Netflix shows Echo and Daredevil: Born Again, there is now no stopping more Netflix favorites from entering the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

As a result, it’s one of the more polarizing characters in the Defenders Saga that’s dominating Reddit discussion, with fans wondering if Taylor’s Trish Walker would come out of hiding and embrace her Hellcat persona.

Trish’s character and arc were not much liked by viewers during the three-year run of Jessica Jones, but the last time we saw her, she was in the Raft, which has been part of the MCU canon since a while back. Adding her to the Netflix shows wouldn’t be a bad idea, then, and it would be an excellent way to tie them back together.
