This is about as brutal a business decision as you could make, and it won’t be long before Batgirl’s cast, crew, and creatives are at peace with their hard work being thrown away. Some Hollywood heavy hitters have expressed their support to directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, while the actress Leslie Grace thanked fans.

Aquino, who played the key role of Alysia Yeoh, a Gotham City bartender, and Barbara Gordon’s best friend, recently weighed in on the issue. Taking to Instagram, the actress expressed gratitude for the support given to everyone involved in Batgirl, while also sharing some behind-the-scenes pictures of the DC Comics adaptation.

Although Aquino had a “magical experience”, that doesn’t entirely make up for Warner Bros. pulling the plug at the last minute, making the decision even more egregious since nobody involved in the production was informed beforehand.
